There is the obvious benefit of macroing Charge with a melee ability, since under no circumstance can you use both at the same time. It works perfectly, when in distance you will Charge, when near, you will pummel, this time your focus.

Note: Gladius is an excellent macro for easy focus-targetting, making focus macros comfortable, and viable without having a separate macro for focus-targetting.
